EBONY SERIES

The Ebony Series is an exotic and fabulously opulent series with rich vibrant colour, gold detail and a touch or darkness.

Featuring tropical plants that I really love, either for their foliage, flower or both. A simpler yet deep black background and geometric or regulated gold pattern detail, contrasting with the organic, free flowing and beautiful botanical forms.        The leaves consist of a multi layered tonal technique using pattern stencils, freehand drawing and mark making. All of which were painted first before the carefully painted background, pattern and flower detail were added.
